Humanity in the pool and leisure industry
In a way, I learned the pool industry from the cradle. Our family business was founded over 60 years ago by my grandfather Hugo Roigk. For more than 20 years, I have continued to grow into it and exchanged ideas with my father Bernd Roigk about the current challenges. I am always inspired by the openness, cordiality and humanity in our pool and leisure industry and am happy to be part of it.
Hardly any public baths in Germany without Roigk
We are manufacturer of high quality swimming sports equipment and water attractions.
Many of our customers don’t even know: over the course of time, we have completely equipped more than 2000 public pools with swimming equipment and diving towers. Perhaps you also know the many hundreds of Roigk water slides? In addition, in the last 10 years, there are also hundreds of spray parks and water adventure worlds, which have already inspired many children.
Security
Through our participation in the technical committee of the German Association for the Bath Industry and DIN committees, we always have early access to current safety requirements. Many thanks to my fellow committee members who allow me to incorporate our practical experience into standardization for improvement.
Planning and operation: Erlebnispark Gevelsberg
We understand the challenges you often face. Almost 20 years ago we planned and built our indoor playground “Erlebnispark Gevelsberg” and have been running it ever since. We regularly look for new ideas to maintain visitor numbers and attractiveness.
Spayparks attract visitors
About 10 years ago, I became aware of the Spraypark water play concept in the USA, which has a magical attraction for children. Together with our experienced game designer Markus Ehring, we have created attractions that not only look great and invite great interactive play, but also meet our European standards and my high quality standards. And lo and behold, with the Spraypark on sunny days, the Gevelsberg Adventure Park practically achieves a 10-fold increase in the previous daily visitor numbers.
New ideas come from observation
At the same time, we can test new attractions in daily use for stability and play value. Often I just sit there and watch what ideas the children have come up with now. That’s when I see it: the children’s eyes were sparkling That is what all the effort and constant development is worth.
